According to the latest data from the General Administration of Customs of China, the total export volume of China's ductile iron pipes exceeded 4.5 million tons from January to August 2024, a year-on-year increase of 25%, setting a record high. The main export markets include Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa, among which Vietnam, Saudi Arabia and Nigeria have increased their imports by more than 40%. Industry analysis points out that Chinese products continue to occupy more than 35% of the global market share with their high cost-effectiveness, stable quality and fast delivery capabilities.

In order to meet the requirements of the EU's "Sustainable Building Materials Regulation", water companies in many European countries have recently increased their efforts to import low-carbon ductile iron pipes from China. The "green ductile iron pipe" launched by Chinese companies is produced with 50% recycled iron and energy-saving technology, with a carbon footprint 40% lower than traditional products, and has passed the German TÜV certification.
